Over 100 years old, this National Historic landmark building is located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The project involved the total restoration and structural repair of the entire exterior of this seven story structure, which contains educational, athletic, cultural and community services spaces. The existing rooftop with its iconic water tank will accommodate a new visual arts center and outdoor recreation space. The building was kept fully operational throughout the restoration process.
